Yes, Coda is cool, but oblique, yes CSSedit is great for css... (Dougie
figured it out for me earlier... do what you do, then create the css in
CSS, then import... don't try to separate programs)

BUT these aren't php/mysql answers to the loss of GL6. The GL6 loss of
DB is my MAJOR issue to maintaining site, creating others. MAJOR and
CRITICAL issue to keeping sites alive and working.


I know it's easy to dump on DW 'cause we're GL children, but I have to
confess, I've not done a new client in GL for nearly a year. All are
starting in DW, and I've been migrating older, stale sites to DW (to the
delight of my clients who get better back end to play with).

For database sites, DW has been much easier/faster to deliver. What took
me days to do in GL for database, is mere minutes now. I am not
exaggerating.

So, with all nods to Miles and his larger basket of knowledge than mine,
yes DW has been a bitch to learn, but a joy to use for the stuff I
need. I have been keeping notes for us at http://www.biz-comm.com/gl2dw.
I have a new one to add regarding the link to an ID specific page...
tripped across it and made it up myself, but it works... I'll get it
done shortly. I'll have to do screen shots as it is too hard to explain.

Yes, Miles, I know DW3 css is sucky, but I'm so new at it, I am only
grateful that I could figure out this much this fast. I've upgraded to
DW4 and it feels more intuitive for adding css code... Only a few days
on it, but it seems to address those things you hate about 3. More as I
learn it.

Just my humble 2 cents worth.
