The scenario (simplified): a column with multiple questions and
answers. Because this content will be fairly lengthy, the client would
like to hide the answers and enable readers to click "read more" to
read the answer to a specific question.

jQuery is used a lot for this, but so far I have only seen options for
a fixed number of characters before the "read more" feature appears.
In our scenario, each question and answer paragraph will vary in
length and we want the all questions to always be completely
displayed, followed by the "read more" link. Further, we want all
ensuing text to move down when an answer is displayed, so this along
with other issues makes me think the old show/hide action won't work.

If you know of a jQuery that enables varying but precise specification
of the cut-off point for the "read more" link...OR another non-Flash
approach...please let me know (please include web links when
possible). Thanks much!
