Greetings all, and Best Wishes for a Happy and Prosperous 2009!

A long-time client of mine wants to put his product catalog (80 pages,
700+ images) on his website in an easily viewable format. We have put
it up as a PDF the last couple of years, but his clients are
complaining about the slow download times (it is a 30+meg file). He
does not sell to the public, but is finding that more and more of his
wholesale clients are liking the convenience of using his web site.

He likes examples he has seen on Google Catalogs, and I could output
each page as an image file and set it in a html page for him, but I
was wondering if anyone has a better (cheaper?) idea. (the site
already uses PHP/MySQL to generate simple product pages, but not on
this scale).
