Local, remote and testing advice please
Another 'real' question, guys.
How should I structure my file system for websites?
I am running DW3 with a MAMP installation on my local Mac. (did I say Mac? that shows how my attitudes have changed!)
It seems to me that I therefore have two complete copies of my websites, one in the websites folder and another in the MAMP/htdocs folder.
Is it necessary/advisable to have both or could the MAMP/htdocs be the sole local copy of a website?
Recently started getting interested in Joomla and that pushed me into looking at the testing server approach but still feeling slightly nervous about the how and the why!
