Hi,
this is off topic since it is about Dreamweaver CS4, but I'll give it
a try:

I try to archive a shadow around my web pages. I do this with using a
PNG-File.

Since transparent PNGs do not work in IE before 7, I added a
replacement GIF
that I want older IE versions to use instead.


Original CSS
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
#CCONTAINER {
background-image: url(1_media/rahmenschatten.png);
}


Browserswitch in HEADER-TAG should be something like this....

<!--[if lt IE 7]>
<script type="text/css">
#CCONTAINER {
background-image: url(../1_media/rahmenschatten.gif);
}
</script>
<![endif]-->



The switch does not seem to work and also I found out that DW CS4
is not correcting paths inside the <!--[if lt IE 7]> tag for child
pages of templates
if put in a master template...

What can I do? Is there just a wrong thinking or something that requires
Javascript or even PHP?
