A non-profit client has asked me to look into setting up a listserv for them. Trouble is, I'm used to subscribing to them (like this list), not setting them up. And Google is your friend only when you have a clear picture of what you're getting yourself into, which I don't.
They're unsure at this point whether they want strictly an announcement-type (one-way) list just to communicate with site visitors and other interested parties or some type of moderated/ unmoderated discussion list that's liable to get out of control at any moment and start beating dead horses. ;-)
Of course, they have no (or little) money. Suggestions?
