[OT] gl2dw - update, evaluation from just a user
As long time listerooers know (thinking 10 years now...) I have been a GL user, pre Adobe, and as long time listoorers know, have bitched my fair share about the demise of GL6, upon which I was making a living.
OK, get ready now..
I have created an entire CSS and DC site in Dreamweaver. It was tough doing both things at the same time but I did it. It is working, and some things (DC) were much easier in DW than in GL. It was harder to learn, but once there, easier to implement.
So, when you're ready to make the leap, know that if dummy me can do it, so can you. I am still learning, but the site I just did is a major one, so did a lot of learning and am willing to share with my fellow golivers.... just ask.
Again, it's hard to make the jump but once you do, it is easier for DC.... I suggest you don't even try to do tables, jump right into css (although that is a MAJOR leap) but doable....
I have tested a number of purchases.... I have found DataAssist purchases to be the most helpful. I will always work with Menu Machine even if that means keeping GL8 active to make the menu... works just fine with DW...
Have heart... if I can do this, so can you....
Pls contact me off list if there is something I can share with you... All of you have helped me over the years and it's time to 'pay forward'
