Only a cursory glance. Not great, but as mentioned earlier this very morn, I do use their Domainer software to keep track of, well domainers. If that's the correct term. I'm not tight on all the jargon, as I believe the young people today say. Or is it loose on the lingo?
One of those. Or something like it. And what exactly is a muthaf... oh, never mind. I expect it's just a term of endearment when they shout that at me in the street. Showing their appreciation of my getting joggy with the himeys. Or their 'batches' (I can do that too, in Photoshop).
But meanwhile back to more important matters...
I pretty much wrote off the Fewdewser (and I was at school with Lionel, the eldest son) as a bad buy.
I did try converting it to a birdbath as per the article in Fewdewser World, but I couldn't figure out a way to disable the built-in siren, which was causing the blackbirds to have panic attacks.
The Fewdewser forums were of bugger all use BTW, very disappointing in the circumstances. Everybody has to start somewhere.
The blackbirds eventually sent round a gang of buzzards to intimidate me, prompting the cats to buy a couple of rocket launchers on eBay and retreat behind their sandbagged fortifications.
It was a fraught few weeks, but eventually there was an uneasy truce declared - the cats ran out of ammo and the buzzards ran out of tail feathers.
So sadly the Fewdewser lies abandoned, rusting (not easy with practically no metal parts, just shows how innovative it was) and unloved, with only the small periscope and Bunsen burner still functional. A far cry from its glory days, even as an 's' variant.
I remain convinced that if Josh (the younger son) hadn't insisted on using so much foam rubber in the afterburner and skimping on the blanching pad filters, it would have been a commercial success. Very few people used the sprocket winder anyway, so the reliability issues with those were never a problem in my view.
And contrary to the internet-generated hysteria at the time, it now seems likely the reviewer will walk again, with only a slight limp.
I did offer to donate mine to the local old folks home, but they took out a restraining order so that idea has also been abandoned.
I think there was some confusion between my saying 'it's mine' and them thinking I was offering the 'g' variant which you'll recall *laid* mines, which I quite agree could be potentially hazardous to senior citizens.
So if you need spares for your periscope, let me know.
