Yes, I concur about disparity between local and global stats on Chrome. Same in my reports.
Someone once told me anything >1% deserves at least some attention, so that still justifies my effort vis a vis OS X Chrome.
Somewhat OT: And then there are all those UNIX/LINUX wankers I've just discovered have a whole different way of seeing things in the same browsers. ... D'oh, d'oh, and double-d'oh!! And that was another reason why I like Chrome, because it was the most consistent in Unix/ Linux installations, whereas Firefox was a royal pain and caused me to practically start from scratch for some elements.
I dunno if this is a no-brainer for some of you, but just in case anyone has to build for Unix/Linux Firefox: I've found it's best to use x-small/small/medium/... for horizontal menu font specs (e.g., <li> with display: inline) to get the menu to work consistently across browsers.
This was a good lesson that helped remind me of reading somewhere, way back, that x-small/small/etc. was the preferred specification according to some developers. My designer colleagues balk at this, but I found that in conjunction with Eric Meyer's reset.css, this actually worked very well.
That said, I'm curious if any of you have had similar experiences developing for Unix/Linux Firefox and also usage of the x-small/etc. specs.
