Back in my advertising days, I used to really enjoy writing for radio.
People were sometimes puzzled by that, but my view radio was often
primarily a visual medium.

Although I did acquire a certain amount of notoriety for writing 7
seconds of silence into one ad.

DJs didn't normally pay much attention to ad carts, but give them that
much 'dead air' and they listened to mine. I think about 4 of them
had a heart atack before they learnt it was deliberate....
