You try keeping 2 acres of farmland under control, doing the housework (which I must admit takes a back seat to everything else) AND working on the computer what feels like 24/7 - not to mention grooming 4 (down from a high of 13) long-coated dogs and see how much time you have left over for tidying up style sheets. :>)
Tell me about it. I'm only peripherally involved, but my partner's best friend stables (currently) 9 horses (6 horses, 3 foals more accurately). While she's helping with looking after them or riding hers, I walk the 4 dogs (hence the line in my footer) while re-assuring our 3 cats it's nothing personal. Add a 12 year old stepson into the mix and life is rarely less than interesting...
Allied to which my partner went bankrupt last year, I lost a shitload of money lent to both her and her business and I'm still subsidising her while she restores her self-confidence and oh, yeah, my brother passed away last month...
Sorry, don't mean to make it sound like a pissing contest - but I suppose my point is that fortunately because I am Captain Anal, I have systems/processes in place which mean I can work really efficiently - pretty handy if February was pretty much a write-off and there's a backlog to be cleared. And of course when circumstances dictate I have only a limited number of braincells aligned, ingrained routine and my 'autopilot' mode kick in.
It's actually when I'm really busy and the shit hits the fan that my investment in learning/implementing all this stuff really pays off.

Fewer calls to the server, faster loading, less bandwidth consumed.
It's probably a minor factor in the grand scheme of things - although Google seems likely to assess such thinks as part of their ranking process - but since it takes only minutes, why not?
