This is a useless complaint, but now and then I feel like griping anyway. I spent a couple of hours trying to solve a problem with a little tad of css I pasted into the page that would work sometimes and other times not. It didn't seem to make any sense until I noticed that it occurred on pages I had copied. The originals still worked. What it was, was that GoLive 9 deleted a little snipped of custom code when I re -saved the page. Not the first save ... it left it alone the first time I saved it. But if I changed something and then saved again, it quietly deleted the code I had inserted. I should have looked, but I had just looked and it was there, so I didn't think to look in the same spot again.
I remember several years of many of us pleading and demanding, through several versions, that code be left alone. It would eventually be, but later the rewriting would sneak back in and the thing would have to be handled all over again. Not being much of a coder myself, I didn't often run into it, and somewhere between version 5 and 9, finally came to believe custom code would be left alone. I was wrong. GoLive just got sneakier and went right ahead and did it when I was looking the other way.
