There is a serious point which I'm winching into position (that explains the clanking noises) behind my joshing.
HTML5 will introduce a number of new elements which better represent a specific type of content/purpose, eg: article, header, footer, nav, dialog, details, aside etc, etc.
It's one reason why I find it progressively harder to take the 'Serbian map reference' style (no vowels) naming of divs and classes in GL and DW templates (and CSS frameworks while I'm at it) seriously. (To say nothing of the SEO considerations such naming conventions will bring).
If you combine that sort of stuff with, for example the likes the recent discovery Martin and I have been salivating over, well, things are looking very interesting out on that thar internet...
It's a rare example of the next generation technology genuinely being both simpler and easier to use. Bring it on.
