I've published the Asian vacation page built in a 2-column div style and find that because the "sidebar" div follows the "main" div in the code it loads last, leaving placeholder images in the sidebar until the code loads. The intention was to first load the most important code, then the rest, but now that it's on the web I don't like that the sidebar takes so long to load. Can I keep it in a float right state but put the code above the "main" div and not mess up the page. Do you think there will be an issues with this scenario? Or am I being too picky... it only takes a millisecond to load the sidebar, longer if it's not in cache.
On a related GoLive note, a few days ago I installed ITunes and along with it came Apple Updater, Bonjour and Apple Application Helper. I think Bonjour or the updater was conflicting with Avast Anti-Virus so I de-installed ITunes and related programs. Well, that messed up QuickTime and GoLive CS wouldn't open. It crashed on the splash screen. I somehow knew QuickTime was the culprit.
I reinstalled QuickTime 7 without ITunes, and along came the updater and application helper, and immediately started to conflict with Avast. Since it locked up my system, I couldn't determine if GoLive was functional, so I uninstalled QuickTime and all the related Apple programs again. Avast worked, image that. I then found Version 6 QuickTime at the Apple site and installed that. No conflict with Avast and now GoLive CS opens. What a waste of time. I know that programmers can't anticipate all conflicts, but it sure is a timewaster for the user.
