This is a problem that I have from time to time and it has just cropped up again on a page I build that did not work well in explorer 7 and below.
Scenario: A div "row1" with width set at say 800px
Nested inside "row1" - two divs (content_left 400px and content_right 400px) floating left to be side by side in the div row1
Because of the way certain browsers handle margin and padding the second floated div can wrap.
Question: What is the best procedure for keep the divs from wrapping? I've been just building in extra space ie set one or both of the interior divs to smaller widths. I'm looking for a standard practice I can use in the situation.
Thanks, j
