Trying to jump on the jQ bandwagon, I replaced a static menu in a site I'm doing a makeover on with an "accordion" menu.
The menu was as easy as pie. :^)
However, there's a "cookie plug-in" that is supposed to keep the appropriate section of the menu expanded as you move from page to page, and I can't seem to get my page to set a cookie.
The sample page for the cookie-setting accordion menu is here...
If I open Safari's Security window, I can watch on the fly as the sample page sets a cookie for the currently expanded menu item. (note: the sample is only one page, so I can't see if it *reads* the cookie correclty between pages, but I can see that it is definitely being set.)
But my page won't seem to set a cookie. ALSO, I downloaded the sample page itself, relinked it to my local copies of the jquerry js and cookie js files, and the menu works but this local copy also will not set a cookie. Are there some server issues involved with setting cookies? I've never tried to do them before.
TIA,
Keith
