I'm new to this transparency thing, so be kind. I have a style, kitty-base, in the site external style sheet that places an image in the lower right of the main content table cell. I would like this image to be transparent. When I add the following code to the style in source view it makes everything in the table cell transparent, not just the kitty image.
opacity:0.4; filter:alpha(opacity=40)
is there a way to only effect the kitty image when applying the "kitty-base" class style instead of all content in the table cell? The page is here:
http://www.redshift.com/~lorac/catart.html
The page on the server does not have the opacity code applied as it is still a work in progress. I've experimented locally in the site folder. This link is provided so you can see how the page is set up. (I'm using tables because I'm not experienced enough in using XML and pure CSS for page layout.)
I guess I could make the image a png or place a div in relative position in the table cell and create a style for it, but I want to first learn if there is an easier way... or a better way... considering my level of experience.
