Hi everyone, I'm trying an iframe for the first time and have a couple of questions. I'm building a site for a Music DJ. He subscribes to DJintelligence, an online service that allows his clients to check his available dates, book events and make payment (along with a bunch of other services). DJintelligence provides different options of code for me to use on the site. Using the date availability checker for example, they provide code for a link to a pop up window for the checker, code to place the checker directly on the page, and code to place the checker in an iframe (there are other code options but they are not relevant to my questions). I don't like the pop up window option because I have no control of how it looks, such as adding my client's logo. I tried the code to place the checker directly on the page and it looks perfect. The problem is when you submit your requested date, I have the option of having the results appear in a new window or the parent window. Either option creates a page I have no control over and no longer looks like the site I created. I figure my best course is the iframe. The availability checker appears exactly how I want it and the result generated upon submission appear in the same place so the user never leaves the page. So far so good. Now, is it possible to add something to the iframe other than the URL it's linked to? I would like to add some text that explains to the user what they have to do. I would like this text to change on the results page to explain the next step the user has to take. I can't figure out how to include text in the iframe. Can it be done?
Second question. The availability checker is about 250 pixels high, the results page is about 600 pixels high. From there, the user goes to the bookings page that is 1200 pixels high. DJintelligence has a height of 1200 pixels set in the code of each of these pages. I have a footer on the site and it looks strange being so far down on the first two "pages". Is there anything I can do so that the iframe adjusts itself as its content grows? I don't want scroll bars. I thought of setting the table cell the iframe is in to either auto or 100% which works for the first page but the site doesn't grow for the 2nd and 3rd and the info is cut off. Is there anything I can do or am I stuck with a 1200 pixel iframe?
Sorry for the long winded post.
